We are off to Zhengzhou this morning. Yesterday was a whirlwind tour of Beijing. We traveled to the Great Wall, Birds nest, and Tienanmen Square. It is quite incredible to see these historic locations up close. We also toured a Jade gallery and a place that makes ornate vases. We also went on a rickshaw ride and toured the home of a regular Chinese family. The people are direct in their questions and not afraid to ask personal questions. Likewise they did not mind my questions. The attitude of these people is surely something to be admired. The food is good so far, though the Beef and Coffee are not quite like home. Beijing is very efficient considering the number of people.Kade, we did get your comment, we hope you all caught some big ones yesterday. Katie, you and your family are very much on our minds and in our prayers as you welcome your new son.We will be meeting Joseph tomorrow morning, please pray for all of us.

Joseph Brian Zi Nian Lockwood

We found our son on the website at our adoption agency, Chinese Children Adoption International on July 11, 2008. His birthday is 2-21-07. Joseph currently lives in Luoyang. His name is a mouth full, but we really wanted to keep his Chinese name and his daddy wanted him to have his name also. We feel incredibly privileged to be able to have him as a part of our family.
